YOUTH - What do YOUth want? | Outdoor public spaces | Sport and outdoor recreation facilities | Events and activities

Youth co-design workshops are on during June. Scroll down to register.

We are developing a Youth Outdoor Recreation Action Plan to improve the quality and diversity of the sport and outdoor recreational facilities and activities for young people aged 12 to 24 years across the Tweed.

Thank you to the 550 young people who completed the Youth Outdoor Recreation Survey. The survey has closed and we’re now finalising the community feedback report.

This action plan will build on the extensive community engagement conducted to develop Council’s Open Space Strategy 2019–2029 with children, youth and the broader community.

You told us you wanted more district levels parks, skate facilities, opportunities for biking, more green space, social spaces to be with family and friends and more events and activities.

We are now hosting a series of youth co-design workshops to understand what these should look like, what should be included and how they should be designed.
