Improvements and changes to the management of water and leachate (nutrient charged liquid pollutant that all landfills create) need to be made on site.

This is a condition and licence requirement that is currently being met and needs to be updated with site improvements.

This project will:

  • remove the current leachate pond
  • upgrade existing storm water pathways and pond
  • build a new leachate pond to better accommodate extreme rainfall events

This will better manage water and leachate with updated site improvements.
