    'Creating Resilient Landscapes and Enhancing Vineyard (& Farm) Biodiversity' – hosted by SoilCare

    SoilCare are hosting a World Soil Day celebration at The Farm Byron Bay. Guest speaker Dan Faulkenberg of Eden Hall Wines will share insights on soil health, farm resilience, biodiversity, and how working with nature yields positive results.

    Regenerative Farming & Biodiversity – hosted by Raven Place Farm

    Join David Brooks (Wild BnB) and Rachael Sanderson (Life a Little Greener) for a hands-on tour of Raven Place Farm, where organic bush regeneration meets biodiversity. See how they use mycelium, owl boxes, native bee hives, and microbat boxes to support wildlife, organic pest control, and pollination.

    Agroforestry Workshop – Pruning for Production & Ecology – hosted by Green Bird Organics

    Join Green Bird Organics on the farm during a major eucalypt pruning to learn the principles of syntropic agroforestry — and how to build food, fibre, and ecological resilience into one productive system. An immersive day on the farm exploring how syntropic principles can transform the way we grow. This hands-on workshop introduces the philosophy and practice of syntropy — a farming approach that works with natural succession.

    Organic Horticulture RD & I stakeholder roundtable – hosted by Australian Organic Limited

    Australian Organic Limited are giving Organic Horticulture Operators the opportunity to share insights, identify challenges, and help shape the future direction of Australia’s organic horticulture sector. Organic growers are invited to attend a face-to-face roundtable session at The Farm or book a personal one-on-one interview to share your insights.

    Property Planning Workshop series – Local Land Services calling for expressions of interest

    Local Land Services are calling for expressions of interest in a series of property planning workshops. The free hands-on property planning workshop series are North Coast landholders wanting to reset or develop their property plans. Through five flexible sessions, you'll gain tools, insights, expert advice and peer support to better understand your land, plan for future challenges, and communicate your vision.

    ProPastures – Local Land Services calling for expressions of interest

    Local Land Services are calling for expressions of interest for local livestock producers and landholders to participate in a free 4-part workshop series commencing in early 2026. It can also be run as a standalone session depending on participant needs and knowledge. Recent years have seen massive impacts on pastures across the region from several record severe weather events and the incursion of pasture dieback. Choosing a pasture management strategy following severe weather or pasture dieback impacts whilst trying to build future resilience in the pasture system is neither low risk nor simple. 

    Why sign up for ProPastures?

    • Practical course grounded in key scientifically proven concepts of pasture establishment and management

    • Concepts are applied in detail to help you make informed decisions under local conditions on your farm

    • Will help you develop practical skills and knowledge in pasture assessment, establishment and management

    • Provides you with simple tools to assist in making decisions about your pastures whilst considering your farming goals, values, beliefs, production requirements, lifestyle and attitude toward risk.
