Tweed Shire Council presented the inaugural Living for the Future Home Expo and Community Summit at the Tweed Heads Civic Centre on Saturday 16 November 2013.

More than 600 people visited to learn more about how to improve sustainability in their communities, homes and lifestyles.

Nearly 30 local stallholders were on hand with a range of sustainability solutions and special offers for patrons on the day, while a panel of experts led a community discussion on how to:

  • cut power and water bills
  • make your home more self-sufficient
  • create a more liveable home
  • build stronger communities

With a kids' corner, organic food and locally grown coffee, it was a great day out for the whole family.
