Consultation has concluded

Council is updating its historic flood marker signs in flood-affected villages throughout the shire.

The main reason we erect these signs is to raise awareness of the flood risk and educate residents on historic flood levels.

Our Design team has developed a number of signs that provide a wealth of historic flood data and can be easily updated if and when we have another flood. We plan to put the signage on old timber bridge girders and erect them in parks and open spaces, so they'll look like public art or park sculptures.

But before we put these flood markers up, we'd like to know what you think about how they look and where we plan to put them.

To complete the survey, look at the design and proposed site for all our villages in the Photo Gallery on this page and then answer the questions in the survey below.

This survey will close on Friday 29 November 2019. The information collected will help us make some important decisions around flood awareness and education.
