What is the facility's address?

Who is currently using the facility?
The facility has two sections.
The rear of the building is being used by two fishing groups who will remain on site. This part of the facility is not part of the redevelopment at this stage.
The remaining part of the facility was previously leased by the Australian Volunteer Coastguards Kingscliff Flotilla. This section consists of internal meeting rooms on the upper level, with storage and boat ramp facilities on the lower storey.
The Australian Volunteer Coastguards Kingscliff Flotilla was decommissioned in November 2014 and has ceased to occupy the facility. The facility is currently under a lease agreement with Marine Rescue Point Danger.
How long is the lease for Marine Rescue Point Danger?
The current lease agreement is for a period of 12 months (from January 2015-January 2016), while the community engagement campaign is undertaken.
Is Council currently inviting submissions for future leases on the site?
Not at this stage. Council is currently undertaking community engagement to ascertain the feelings of the community on how this site should be used in the future.
This initial public consultation is brainstorming to help generally identify the best options to utilise the facility.
Where can members of the community provide comments?
There are a number of community engagement methods available to provide input, include:
1. Kingscliff Lions Beachside Markets – Saturday 11 July 2015 at 7am to 11am
2. Community workshop – 14 July 2015 at 5.30-7.30pm at the Kingscliff Coast Guard training facility
3. Online community forum on Council’s community engagement website – yoursaytweed.com.au/coastguard

5. An online survey will be created in response to feedback received at the community workshop on Tuesday 14 July. Watch this space for a link to the survey. Printed copies will also be available at Council's Murwillumbah and Tweed Heads offices.
What type of occupancy is Council considering?
Council is open to any suggestions from the public about redevelopment of the site.
