Tweed Shire Council has acquired Lot 641 in DP216389 (74 Tamarind Avenue, Bogangar) for stormwater drainage purposes. The lot is outlined in the location diagram shown below. Council proposes to resolve to classify the land as ‘operational land’ in accordance with the provisions of section 31(2) of the Local Government Act 1993.
What is Operational Land? Operational land ordinarily comprises land held as an asset or as an investment, land which facilitates Council carrying out its functions or land which may not be open to the general public.
