Prindable Park Upgrade

Prindable Park in Bilambil is a small, peaceful creek side spot offering a quiet and scenic place to relax.

Council is seeking community feedback to help refine a draft design for minor improvements to Prindable Park, aimed at making the open space safer, more accessible and more enjoyable for the community.

The community is invited to view the plans and provide feedback from 27 May to 23 June 2026 (closing at 4 pm).

We value your input—please review the Draft Concept Plan.

What’s being proposed?

The draft concept plan keeps the park’s current use, with small improvements to safety, maintenance and accessibility.

These include:

  • An upgraded shelter, including accessible picnic setting and seating.
  • A refreshed entrance with new plants and clear signage.
  • Upgraded bollards and improved maintenance access.
  • Improved pathways to meet accessibility and safety standards.
  • An accessible water fountain with a dog bowl.

Why your feedback matters and how it helps Council

Your feedback will help Council to:

  • Confirm whether the proposed design meets the needs of the community.
  • Identify any issues or improvements before the design is finalised.
  • Ensure the park is welcoming, safe and easy to use for everyone.
  • Support a healthy, active and connected community.
  • Deliver on Council’s commitment to improving public open space across the Tweed, in line with the Open Space Strategy 2019–2029.

The project budget is $100,000

What can you have your say on?

  • The overall layout and design.
  • Proposed features and amenities.
  • Access and safety.
  • How the space will work for you.

What can’t be changed?

Due to site constraints and available funding, additional park furniture and amenities cannot be added.

As this park sits on Crown land, any upgrade or new facilities must go through a formal approval process, which may place certain restrictions on what can be developed. We want the community to be aware of this as we propose improvements to ensure the park remains a welcoming and enjoyable space for everyone.
