Andy Bennett is a Professor of Cultural Sociology in the School of Humanities, Languages and Social Science at Griffith University.
A leading international figure in research on music and culture, he has written and edited over 30 books and published in top peer-reviewed journals.
He has conducted research commissioned by City of Gold Coast (Australia) and British Film Institute and Southeast Arts (UK).
He is a Faculty Fellow of the Yale Centre for Cultural Sociology, an International Research Fellow of the Finnish Youth Research Network, a founding member of the Consortium for Youth, Generations and Culture and a founding member of the Regional Music Research Group.

Dr Ben Green is a Research Fellow at the Griffith Centre for Social and Cultural Research, where he is currently undertaking a two-year investigation of the live music sector in Australia.
Ben’s academic interest in popular music infrastructure, scenes and heritage follows experience as a performing musician.
He is a member of the Regional Music Research Group and has undertaken research on music venues and audiences for local governments and other stakeholders, utilising interviews, focus groups, consultation and surveys.
