Stage 1 - Completed

Stage 1 New inclusive playspace is now complete.

The playspace is known as Livvi's Place at Goorimahbah - Place of Stories and forms part of an Australia-wide network of Livvi’s Place inclusive playspaces.
The new playspace is an outcome of community consultation from the Jack Evans Boat Harbour Plan of Management which was developed back in 2018 and the Open Space Strategy 2019–2029.

Stage 1: July 2022 to December 2022 - works included:

  • play equipment so we can all play together
  • small scale water play elements
  • rubber softfall
  • landscaping improvements
  • new accessible seating, picnic areas and drinking fountains
  • larger picnic facilities for group and family gatherings
  • new pathways
  • fencing around the playspace
  • additional shade trees and built shade
  • the integration of Aboriginal art, stories and colour
  • natural and sensory play elements.

Stage 1 was proudly funded by NSW Government in collaboration with Tweed Shire Council, Touched by Olivia Foundation and Variety the Children's Charity.
