Long term planning to shape the future of the Tweed
The community has an opportunity every Council term to influence the long term plan for the Tweed and set the vision for the future they would like to see. Council then responds by making sure its programs and services are designed to meet the community's ambitions for the Tweed.
Our community's plan for the future
The Community Strategy Plan (CSP) describes the community’s vision and aspirations for a period of ten of or more years. The Tweed Community Strategic Plan was last drafted in 2017. Council has now reviewed it to make sure it still reflects the community's priorities for the future.
Through engagement with the community, have reviewed the CSP to make sure it reflects:
community priorities and aspirations for the next 10 years
includes the community's vision, strategic objectives and strategies to achieve those objectives
social, environmental, economic and civic leadership issues
social justice principles: equity, access, participation and rights
