Corowa Park Upgrade

Council has extended community consultation.
Thank you to everyone who already shared their views about Corowa Park. After reviewing the feedback we have received so far, it is clear there is strong opposition to the park being an off‑leash area and to fencing the park.
We have heard how deeply Corowa Park is valued for its cultural significance and long family and community connections.
We heard that the area is already very busy, with many people parking throughout the park while visiting nearby businesses and Turnock Park, and that formalising the off‑leash area could add further pressure and reduce the park’s amenity.
We also heard from some residents who appreciate having a local place to walk their dogs off leash.
Based on this feedback, we will now work more closely with residents and the Aboriginal and South Sea Islander community to shape a revised design for the park that respects its cultural and community importance. We will also explore alternative locations for a future off‑leash area and check back in with the community to ensure the revised draft design better reflects community needs.
We extended the engagement period to 22 July so everyone has an opportunity to share their views. In the meantime, you can still complete the survey below to share your thoughts.
Our goal is to move forward in a way that honours cultural and community values and supports the wellbeing of the whole community.
We value your input, view the initial draft concept plan.
