We have an exciting new upgrade planned for Clarrie Englert Park, including new inclusive play equipment, nature play, seating and picnic table, landscaping and path improvements.
The playground construction is now complete and the park opened in February 2022.
Thank you to the 130 residents who completed the community survey, which has informed the final concept design.

The design caters for children from 2 to 12 years old. It will improve the accessibility and safety of the playspace and also provide plenty of opportunities for adventurous play!
Council has received a $50,000 grant from the NSW Government’s Everyone Can Play Program to upgrade the park. Council will match this funding and partner with the local community to create a park and playspace that is more inclusive of everyone. The work will include:
new inclusive play equipment
scooter and small-scale skate elements
new basket swing and new slides
nature play
accessible picnic table, seating and drinking fountain
vibrant new rubber softfall and mulch surfaces
landscaping
new accessible paths and scooter track
more shade trees
partial fencing.

A new and inclusive playspace for Clarrie Englert Park, Tweed Heads West is currently at this stage. The draft concept plan and play equipment options incorporate community feedback received during stage 1 of community consultation and are on public exhibition for 28 days, closing Friday 26 March 2021.
