Jack Evans Boat Harbour Plan of Management

Consultation has concluded


Council is developing a new Plan of Management to guide its future planning and management of Jack Evans Boat Harbour and is welcoming public input towards the plan.

The Plan of Management will provide guidelines to ensure the Jack Evans Boat Harbour precinct is utilised as the recreational and tourist centrepiece for the Tweed Heads city centre.



As shown below, the areas that the Plan of Management will cover are:

  • Jack Evans Boat Harbour Parklands which includes Chris Cunningham Park, boardwalk and McMahons Beach, Anzac Memorial, Goorimahbah – Place of Stories and east of the Seascape building;
  • the Jack Evans Boat Harbour waterway;
  • Ebenezer Park; and
  • the Old Aquatic Club site and north of Coral Street.

Council aspires to have Jack Evans Boat Harbour as a high quality and accessible regional facility, reflective of the values and aspirations of the Tweed community. Your input will help Council develop its priorities to enhance, protect and manage the precinct to better meet the needs of our growing community.

Council invites you to complete the survey 'What's your vision for Jack Evans Boat Harbour' or make a written submission before 30 November 2018.
